Monse Guajardo is a Mexican-American photographer raised in the U.S./Mexico border. Her first solo exhibition was in Laredo, TX in 2018, titled “Identity Collapse”. She has been part of multiple group shows like “Unusually Unfamiliar” by Daphne Art Foundation, Houston Center for Photography’s 41st Center Annual, Barcelona’s 8th Foto Biennale and “Static Cinema” in Venice, Italy held during the Venice Film Festival. She was selected as a Finalist for LensCulture’s Portrait Award 2024, awarded the 22nd Julia Margaret Cameron Award and is part of Daphne Art Foundation’s Artist in Residence 2025. Her work has been published in The Guardian, Dazed Magazine, Pitchfork and Texas Journal.
