Monse Guajardo is a Mexican-American freelance photographer working between Laredo and Austin, TX.

Exhibitions include Houston Center for Photography’s 41st Center Annual, Barcelona’s 8th Foto Biennale, “Static Cinema” at CREA Cantieri del Contemporaneo in Venice, Italy and Austin’s SXSW 2026 showcase by MONAD.

She was selected as a Finalist for LensCulture’s Portrait Award 2024, awarded the 22nd Julia Margaret Cameron Award and Daphne Art Foundation’s Artist in Residency 2025. In 2026, the Rio Grande International Study Center selected Monse along with 6 other artists to be a partner in their Arts and Cultural Program.

Her work has been published in The Guardian, Dazed Magazine, Pitchfork, The Texas Tribune and Texas Observer.
